Before you call
It helps to have:
- Your address, so the request reaches a company that serves it
- What you need: a new install, a repair, a replacement, a filter or RO
- Whether you're on city water or a private well
- The age and brand of your current softener, if you have one
- Whether your home has a softener loop and where it is
Softener leaking? Turn the bypass valve to bypass, or close the valve ahead of the unit, and unplug the controller until it's looked at. The house keeps running water while the softener is offline.
